Join us for Aletheia’s 2019 Women’s Retreat!
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
1 Peter 1:13-21
WHAT IS THIS YEAR’S RETREAT THEME?
CALLED UP: A call to righteous and holy living as an expression of worship and gratitude to our God, who is full of grace and has called us to specific spiritual disciplines.
CALLED OUT: A call to live “set apart” from the world around us – not separated – but deeply connected to and engaging with the culture around us yet with lives that look distinctly DIFFERENT from culture.
MEET OUR SPEAKEr
Rach is a communicator of grace, freedom, and hard work. Her desire is to point people to Jesus and encourage them to be more tenacious about the lives Jesus died to give them. She is a wife to a worship pastor, a mama to six and a hospice nurse.
We are so excited to welcome Rach and to have her teach on this specific topic of being Called Up and Called Out. Rach lives out the gospel, showing with her life and her words what real-life gospel application looks like. We are so excited to learn from her.
