WHAT TO EXPECT
Aletheia Jr. on a Sunday
We want every child to feel safe, loved, and excited to learn about Jesus when they visit Aletheia Jr. Here’s what a typical Sunday looks like:
Gospel-Centered Teaching
We teach the Bible in ways kids can understand and apply.
Bible-based curriculum: Every lesson points children to God’s Word.
Big-picture storyline: Kids learn how all Scripture points to Jesus.
Christ-centered focus: Every activity and lesson highlights Jesus’ love and salvation.
Joyful Environment
We make learning about Jesus fun and memorable.
Worship: Energetic songs kids can sing and move to.
Crafts & activities: Hands-on experiences that reinforce Bible lessons.
Small group discussions: Age-appropriate conversations to help kids process what they’re learning.
Age-Based Classrooms
We provide teaching and activities that are age appropriate:
Babies: Gentle care in a safe, nurturing environment where little ones begin to experience the love of God's family.
2 Years – Pre-K: Using The Village Church Curriculum, preschoolers learn foundational truths about who God is through engaging Bible stories, worship, activities, and hands-on experiences. Children are introduced to six core truths:
God Made Everything
God Is Good
God Is In Charge of Everything
The Church Is God's Family
God Wants to Talk With Us
Jesus Came to Save Sinners
Kindergarten – 5th Grade: Using Truth78 Curriculum, elementary-aged children are taught the big truths of Scripture in ways that engage young hearts and minds. Through Bible teaching, worship, discussion, and activities, kids learn to set their hope in God (Psalm 78:7) as they explore:
Gospel Proclamation — What is salvation, and how are we saved?
Bible Survey — What's in the Bible, and who is it about?
Biblical Theology — What's the Bible's overarching message?
Systematic Theology — What are the essential doctrines of our faith?
Moral & Ethical Instruction — How do we live according to God's Word?
Truth78 exists to "teach big truths to engage young hearts" so that children would set their hope in God.

Our volunteers are trained to care for shy, nervous, or upset children with patience and compassion. We help children feel comfortable by engaging them in activities, introducing them to others, offering comfort, and praying with them if needed. If a child continues crying for more than 10–15 minutes, we will text the parent to come pick them up.
-
Our classrooms are organized by age and grade level to best support each child's development and learning. Because each classroom uses age-specific curriculum and teaching designed for that stage of development, siblings may be placed in different classrooms.
