Aletheia Weekly | August 14
CITY GROUP FALL TERM BEGINS AUGUST 23!
City Groups
LIVING OUT THE GOSPEL IN OUR LIVING ROOMS
City Groups at Aletheia are where we build gospel-centered community. Where we share life, enjoy meals together, dive into God’s Word, and pray with one another. City Groups are where you’ll find real relationships, encouragement in your faith journey, and a deeper sense of belonging in our church family.
QUESTIONS YOU MAY BE ASKING:
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A CITY GROUP?
City Groups are where real relationships grow. They provide encouragement in your faith, meaningful connection with others, and a deeper sense of belonging within our church family. Our goal is to create environments where people can know and experience the love of Christ in an intimate community.
WHEN DO CITY GROUPS MEET?
We offer two City Group terms each year—one in the spring and one in the fall. The Fall term begins August 23 and goes through October 25. During each term, groups meet weekly on various nights of the week.
WHERE DO CITY GROUPS MEET?
City Groups meet in the homes of trusted, hospitable leaders who create welcoming spaces for connection and spiritual growth. Below, you’ll see the general locations of each group to help you find one that works well for you.
WHO ARE THE CITY GROUP LEADERS?
We’re excited to introduce you to our Fall 2026 City Group leaders! Each leader has been thoughtfully equipped to lead a group with care and intentionality. Take a moment to meet them through the photos below and learn more about where their groups are located and when they meet.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?

FROM LAST SUNDAY
The Grace Factor
2 Corinthians 1:12-2:4
Last Sunday we were challenged to see how deeply God’s grace shapes every part of our lives. Grace doesn’t merely save us, it reshapes how we live, lead, love, and respond. Paul’s example in 2 Corinthians shows what it looks like to extend grace in the middle of conflict: trusting God’s faithfulness, letting go of the need to defend ourselves, pursuing restoration over condemnation, and choosing the good of others.
Ultimately, because we have everything we need in Christ, we are free to live generously toward others rather than demanding something from them. God’s grace received becomes grace extended.
“Freedom isn't about doing what's best for us.
It's about doing what's best for others.”

PRAY FOR COLOMBIA
Update from Cooper & Anna Lewis (Colombia)
Our global missionary partners, the Cooper & Anna Lewis, are safe following a strong earthquake that struck Colombia earlier this week. While Bogotá was not significantly affected, many communities closer to the epicenter have experienced collapsed buildings, power and water outages, and significant loss.
Please join us in praying for the people of Colombia and for the Lewis family as they respond to the needs around them.
Prayer Requests
Pray for those who have lost homes, access to basic necessities, or loved ones.
Pray for safety and strength for those responding to the disaster.
Pray that God would provide comfort, hope, and practical help to affected communities.
Pray for the Lewis family as they serve and seek ways to care for those most impacted.
Pray for the aid being sent to El Chocó this weekend to reach people with the greatest needs.
How You Can Help
Through Friday afternoon, donations will be used to purchase and send needed supplies to the department of El Chocó, including bottled water, non-perishable food, hygiene items, diapers, wipes, baby food, batteries, and other necessities.
