Dominican Republic Mission: What God Did

Batey Evangelism + Aletheia Church

A look back at our recent trip and an invitation to join us on the next one!

We are grateful for our partnership with Batey Evangelism, serving communities in the Dominican Republic known as bateyes—rural areas built around sugarcane plantations. Many of the families who live there are Haitian migrants or of Haitian descent, and they often face limited access to clean water, healthcare, education, and stable resources.

Watch this short recap from our most recent trip:

In March, our team traveled to the Dominican Republic to serve alongside Batey Evangelism. This video captures moments from the trip—

clean water efforts, medical care, food distribution, and time spent in the communities meeting the people who live there and sharing the gospel with them.

How you can pray for this ongoing work:

  • That the water filtration systems would remain effective for years to come and point people to Christ.

  • For encouragement and strength for those ministering to those in the bateyes amid challenges and opposition.

  • That the truth of the Gospel would remain central in all that is done.

Join us on the next trip!

We’re heading back to the Dominican Republic March 20–27, 2027, and we would love for you to consider joining us.

Come be part of what God is doing in the bateyes.

Thank you, Aletheia, for being a church that cares deeply, both in Tampa and around the world.
